I have been decluttering and cleaning like crazy for a week! Getting a home ready to be sold is by far the most stressful thing I have ever had to do. Try looking at your home through someone else's eyes. Suddenly you see with new eyes all of the clutter and dirt that you've gotten so used to being there that you don't even realize it anymore! Scrubbing, waxing, puttying, painting, weeding, washing, etc. That has taken up all of my waking hours the past week. Then on top of that is the worry that your house won't sell and you won't even be able to move into your dream house. I will post pictures of the new house once it's a done deal. It's too depressing to think that it might not happen. I try and tell myself that if it doesn't happen, at least my house is REALLY CLEAN!!!

A Momentous Occasion

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I do have a good excuse though. Have you ever had a momentous occasion in your life that absolutely took up every waking moment, that you've lost sleep over, and not eaten for? That's what has been happening at our house, but I will have to leave you in suspense a little longer. I promise to post more soon.

Great hair and nowhere to go

I went and got my hair cut this morning, technically, the girl just trimmed it and shaped up the layers. Usually I just get it trimmed and go, but this time when the girl offered to style it, I decided I had the time to spare so why not. The downside is that Jim is in Midway today for a work golf tournament and won't be home until around 8:00 tonight. So here I sit, looking "hot", with nowhere to go. Life isn't fair!!

Salsa and Rosa Maria's

I think I will be chopping tomatoes, peppers and onions in my dreams tonight. Michelle and I spent the day bottling salsa. It was messy and hot and totally delicious!! I am just relieved that I have another thing on my to-do list checked off. Now I just have peaches, pears, and grape juice to go. The tomatoes, salsa, and jam have been done for the year.
The highlight of the day was eating a Rosa Maria relleno burrito that Mike brought home from CA for Michelle's birthday for lunch. Michelle was nice enough to split it with me. Thanks Shell!!! To all of you who know and love Rosa Maria's, it was SOOOO GOOOOD!!! I haven't had one for 10 months (yes, I'm counting). That half of a burrito will hold me over until I can get my hands on another one. I'm craving it already!

Peach Days

We spent this past weekend at Mike and Leah's house in Brigham City for Peach Days. It is an annual tradition to go to their house, stay up really late Friday night playing board games, have breakfast together Saturday morning, and then head for the parade. A little competition has started between some in our family to see who can come home with the most free t-shirts that are thrown out at the parade. Jim got two, Katrina got two (although she did give one to Mike), and Eric got one. So funny!! You should see them yelling for t-shirts, and frisbees too. I think we came home with five frisbees to go with the three from last year. It is so much fun for all of us to get together and a little friendly competition never hurt anybody. The funniest moment was Mom and Mike playing Scrabble with all of us trying to help Mike who was really behind. We laughed so hard at some of the words we were trying to get him to play.


Candy!! Candy!!!

Jacob is in kindergarten this year, so he got to participate in the children's parade Friday night. Leah is such a great mom to walk the parade route with Ryan in tow.
